Melvin Julian Murray, 68, of Nashville died Sunday September 14, 2014 at SGMC Berrien Campus.
He was born July 9, 1946 in Berrien County to the late Owen Edward "Buck" Murray and Julia Bailey. He was a retired grocery buyer with the J. H. Harvey Company, member of the Nashville United Methodist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Frances McGee Murray of Nashville; son: Darian Murray of Nashville; daughter: Connie (Chuck) Moore of Brunswick; mother: Julia Bailey Murray of Nashville; 3 brothers: Billy (Mary Alice) Murray, Bobby (Linda) Murray all of Nashville and Larry (Denise) Murray of Lilburn, GA ; 5 grandchildren: Connor Moore, Cayden Moore, Katie Julia Murray, Jake Murray and Emily Cornelius.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 17, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett, Mr. Billy Wheless and the Rev. Willie Heath officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 PM
