Melvin Joe Singletary, 74, of Nashville died Saturday February 2, 2013 at Cook Medical Center in Adel.
He was born April 30, 1938 in Berrien County to the late Joe Eston Singletary and the late Dovie Luke. He was employed with Rest Easy Waste Pickup. He was preceded in death by: a brother: Russell Eston Singletary; a sister: Mary Loudell Williams; a step-son: Lonnie Morrow.
He is survived by: one son: Stanley Singletary of Dahlonega; daughter: Norma Jean Jones of Dahlonega; sister: Betty Taylor of Nashville; 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 3 step daughters: Angie Filloon, Lonetta Schonbok, and Brenda Belden; 11 step grandchildren; and very special friends: Brenda and David Herring.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 6, 2013 at 2 PM in Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev Ronnie Lawson officiating. Interment will be in Vickers Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 PM until 9 PM.
