Merelyne Walker Ray, 84, of Nashville died Wednesday March 28, 2018 at the Berrien Nursing Center.

She was born October 19, 1933 in Berrien County to the late Sim Walter Walker and the late Lizabeth Arkansas McNabb Walker.  She was employed as food server with the Berrien County Board of Education and was of the Pentecostal faith.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Clayton Ray who died March 25, 2005; 8 brothers and 1 sister.

She is survived by her daughter: Becky (Bryan) Sain of Nashville; 2 sons: Rusty Ray of Aloha, OR and David Ray of Adel; 4 grandchildren: Matt (Catherine) Ray of Nashville, Clay (Kelly) Ray of Enterprise, AL, Baeleigh and Brant Sain of Nashville; 2 great grandchildren: Kelton Ray and Tatum Ray.

A graveside funeral service will be held in Pleasant Cemetery Friday March 30, 2018 at 4 PM with the Rev. Mark Swain officiating.  The family will receive friends in the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
