Michael Daniel Lusher, 77, of Hinesville died November 22, 2024 at the Georgia War Veterans Home in Milledgeville.

He was born in Berrien County on August 26, 1947 to Francis D "Jack" & Naomi Hall Lusher. In 2001, he retired as a Housing Maintenance Technician from the Federal Government at Fort Stewart, Georgia after 25 years of service. He also served his country as a veteran of the Air Force for 4 years and served in Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing. He is preceded in death his son: Mark Daniel Lusher who lived in Longmont, CO.

He is survived by his daughter Michele (John) Leonard of Alexandria, VA; five grandchildren: Morgan (Julian) Filgueiras; John "Jay" Leonard, Jr; Ashley (Jordan) Blanco; Alex & Max Leonard; four great grandchildren: Dylan and Lily Filgueiras; Lucy & Romy Blanco, all of Northern Virginia; two sisters: Janice (Chris) Kauffmann and Ann (Frank) Metcalf, both of Senoia, Georgia; nephew: Chris (Wendy) Metcalf; niece: Susan (Todd) Garrick; great nephew and 3 great nieces.

Funeral services will be held Sunday December 8, 2024 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Freddie Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Springs cemetery. Visitation is Sunday December 8, 2024 one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
