Michael Elliott Richbourg, 56, of Nashville, died Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

He was born January 12, 1967 in Charleston, SC to Dr. Henry Reed Richbourg and the late Ann Guinn Richbourg.  After completing his college degree, Michael began a remarkable career as a salesman. At the time of his passing, he was the purchasing consultant with Advantage GMC of Adel. Michael had a deep love for his hometown and a passion for community service.  He was a former Mayor of Nashville and served 8 years on the City Council.

Michael enjoyed people and was immediately at ease with everyone he encountered.  He made long-lasting friendships quickly.  The impact he had on those who loved him is significant and permanent.  Many will cherish his memory, especially those involved in his adventures.

Davis of Spartanburg, SC; brother: Robert Bruce "Bob" (Marian) Richbourg of Tifton; mother-in-law: Kathy Jones of Enigma; nieces and nephews: Gentry (Paul) O'Steen and great nephew Hollis; Jordan Earle; Guinn Richbourg; Henry Richbourg II; first cousins: JerriLyn (Dean) Donahoo and Luann Bannister.

The family is honoring Michael's request to be cremated and that there be no formal services.  Instead, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date so Michael's friends and relatives can share their stories.  Memorials can be made to the Nashville Main Street (405 W.
