Dr. Michael Roy Whittle, 77, of Nashville, died Tuesday December 26, 2023 at his residence.

He was born November 6, 1946 in Donalsonville, GA to the late Seaborn Roy Whittle and the late Mildred Eloise Sheffield Whittle.  He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School and a practicing pathologist for over 20 years. He was of the Methodist faith and an Eagle Scout. He and Polly were married for 45 years.

He is survived by his wife: Polly Close Whittle of Nashville; 3 sisters: Candice (Stephen) Snyder of Lebanon TN, Jan Whittle of Edison, GA, Ann (Jerry) Gleaton of Cashiers, NC; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday December 29, 2023 at 2 PM in Nashville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Bennett officiating.  Visitation will be in the cemetery 30 minutes prior to the service.
