Michael Wayne "Mike" Ritchea, 66, of Nashville, died Thursday, November 6, 2025, in the Emory St. Joseph's Hospital.
He was born August 15, 1959, in Lowndes County to the late Harvey Shirrell Ritchea and Janice Drawdy Agner. He was a supervisor with Winfab for over 20 years and a very active member of Flat Creek Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and doing carpentry work in his shop. Mike had a tremendous love of music, was well known for his musical talents, his collections of guitars and all kinds of music and was inducted into the Georgia Country Music Hall of Fame. He was preceded in death by his step father: Sam Agner.
He is survived by his wife: Sherri Comings Ritchea of Nashville; daughter: Colleen Monique Ritchea of Fort Campbell, KY; 2 sons: Colin Michael Ritchea of Nashville and Adam Jay (Nikita) Rice of Tallahassee, FL; mother: Jan Agner of Madison, FL; step mother: Joyce Ritchea of Nashville; brother: Mark Ritchea of LaGrange; 6 grandchildren: Jaylin, AJ, Conner, Isaac, Tamber, Keylan and a grandchild Tobias expected in January; several half-brothers, half-sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Monday November 10, 2025, at 3 PM in the Flat Creek Church with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey and Rev. Mark Swain officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek cemetery. Visitation is Monday in the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Flat Creek Church or the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
