Mittie Jean Tanner, 73, of Nashville died Thursday April 3, 2014 at her residence.

She was born March 23, 1941 in Lanier County to the late J. D. Watson and the late Georgan Moore. She was a homemaker, a retired educator and a member of the World Wide Church of God. She was preceded in death by a brother: Carol Watson.

She is survived by 3 sons: William Watson of Nashville, Kenneth Watson of Mexico Beach, FL, and Stephen Tanner of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother: Calvin Watson of North Carolina; a sister: Glenda Drummond of Indiantown, FL; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

The family will honor her request for her request for cremation and no formal service will be held.
