Obituary

Morgan Lamar Harrison, Jr, 64, of Nashville, died Monday October 28, 2024 at SGMC in Valdosta.

He was born July 25, 1960 in Coffee County to the late Morgan Lamar "M.L." Harrison and Priscilla Wooten Harrison. He was a former employee at Nashville Mills and for many years was the general manager at BASF in Tifton. He was a member of the Church of Jesus in Douglas and served in the United States Marine Corps. He loved to take pictures, enjoyed Wednesday night supper with his family, was a man of his word and truly loved his family. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Nancy Mathis.

He is survived by his wife: Wanda Harrison of Nashville; 2 daughters: Carol Overstreet of Adel and Heather Knight of Nashville; mother: Priscilla Harrison of Sparks; sister: Rosa Lee Stone of Sparks; brother: George Harrison of Albany; 7 grandchildren: Casper Mathis, Josh (Meghan) Mathis, Amber (Johnny) Johnson, Courtney Heath, Cody (Kristen) Overstreet, Harley (Chris) Herring and Morgan Cersey; 16 great grandchildren; a great great grandson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday October 31, 2024 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Adreion Harrison and Mr. Julian Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
