Murdell McCorvey, 87, of Nashville, died Sunday January 3, 2021 at her residence.

She was born October 17, 1933 in Dallas, GA to the late Virgil Hale and the late Ollie Vandora Long. She was a homemaker, worked as a paraprofessional with the Berrien County Board of Education for 25 years and attended A'New Way Baptist Church. She was the widow of Marvin Harold McCorvey who died in 2015. She was also preceded in death by a son: Donald McCorvey; grandson: Alex McCorvey; 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Gwen (Gary) Smith of Moultrie and Faye (Randall) Foxworth of Pine Mountain; 2 sons: Randy (Brenda) McCorvey of Nashville and Pernell (Jo Ann) McCorvey of Nashville; brother: Albert Hale of Watkinsville; daughter-in-law: Deborah McCorvey of Nashville; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday January 9, 2021 at 2 PM in the Nashville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Mike Bennett and the Rev. Randall Foxworth officiating. Visitation will be in the cemetery thirty minutes prior to the service.
