Myrtice McCorvey, 73, of Nashville, died Sunday November 6, 2011 in the South Georgia Medical Center.
She was born August 28, 1938 in Lanier County to the late Pleason Kirkland and the late Gussie Boyd. She was a homemaker and paraprofessional with the Berrien County Board of Education. She was a member of Faith Chapel. She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
She is survived by her husband: Bobby McCorvey of Nashville; 2 daughters: Janet (Keith) Powell of Nashville and Patti (Mark) Karras of Valdosta; 4 grandchildren: Ryan (Raquel) Powell, Maggie Karras, Carter Karras, and Kristin Powell; great granddaughter: Anaiah Powell; 2 sisters: Nell Ridings and Mary Keen both of Nashville; 2 brothers: Larry Kirkland of Pearson and Robert Kirkland of Florida.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 9, 2011 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett and the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens.Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
