Obituary

Myrtle Annette Luke, 91, of Nashville, died Friday October 31, 2025, at SGMC in Valdosta.

She was born December 12, 1933, in Irwin County to the late Duval Spicer and the late Kathleen Broome Spicer. She was a homemaker and for many years kept and loved many children. She loved her family, trips to the mountains, enjoyed crocheting and was a member of New Fellowship Church. She was the widow of Wilburn Jefferson "Jeff" Luke who died in 2019 and was also preceded in death by 2 half- sisters: Gladys Davis and Estelle Quaid, 2 brothers: Robert Spicer and McRoy Spicer; great grandson: Brice Bailey; great great granddaughter: Birkley Powell; great great grandson: Briggs Powell.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Linda (Reece) Walker of Nashville and Elizabeth (Richard) Smith of Fitzgerald; 3 sons: Rev. Clarence (Sonya) Luke of Nashville, Tommy (Lois) Luke of Nashville and W.D. Luke of Lakeland; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; 3 brothers: Troy (Nellie Jo) Spicer of Alapaha, Roy (Judy) Spicer of Hillard, FL and Earl (Elizabeth) Spicer of Alapaha.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday November 4, 2025, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Luke and Rev. Johnny Guy officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
