N. L. "Red" Parr, 82, of Valdosta, died Wednesday July 31, 2013 in the Berrien Nursing Center.
He was born February 22, 1931 in Berrien County to the late Virgil Hollis Parr and the late Maggie Golden. He was a retired automotive salesman with the former Roger Budd Chevrolet, an insurance salesman with Mr. Roy Taylor, and had also been associated with Del-Cook Lumber and Langdale Forest Products. He was an Army Veteran of Korea. He was preceded in death by his wife: Faye Parr and their infant daughter: Emily Yvonne Parr.
He is survived by his son: Ray ( Nancy) Parr of Hahira; daughter: Peggy Parr of Quitman; sister: Inell Cornelius of Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Allegra (Dane) Peters; Elizabeth Parr; Scott (Jennifer) Lowery; Josh (April) Lehman; 6 great-grandchildren: Blaike, Laney, and EmLee Lowery; Reece, Rylee, and Ryder Lehman.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 3, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Faulk officiating. Interment will follow in Oakey Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
