Lillian Nadine Purvis, 95, of Tifton, died Friday November 2, 2018 in Irwinton, GA.

She was born June 21, 1923 in Gadsden, TN to the late Hobert Shackelford and the late Ida Meddlin Shackelford. She was a homemaker and retired office manager with Storer Communications. She was a member of Tifton First United Methodist Church and very involved with Tift Regional Medical Center Pink Ladies Auxiliary for 19 years. She was the widow of Arlie Vinson Purvis who died in 1995 and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Rhoden who died in 1999 and a sister, Delcie Mae Wilson-Jaynes.

She is survived by a daughter: Phyllis (Don) Asbell of Irwinton; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday November 5, 2018 at 2 PM in the Fletcher Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Hauser and Mr. Joe Dixon officiating.  The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:30 until 1:30 at the Alapaha United Methodist Church.  Memorials are requested to the Alapaha United Church or charity of choosing.
