Sarah Nell Hogan, 85, of Alapaha, died Thursday September 8, 2022 at her residence.

She was born November 27, 1936 in Johnson County to the late Cosby Lee Veal and the late Grace Waller Veal. She was a district supervisor with Flash Foods for years, painter, seamstress and a true "Jack of all trades, master of many". She loved her family, neighbors, community, her dog: Mac and always liked working in her yard. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Raymond May and Dwight Hogan and was also preceded in death by a grandson: Jonathan Dyal, granddaughter: Chelsea Corbett, 4 sisters and a brother.

She is survived by 5 daughters: Kathy (Jerry) Hyers of Alapaha, Vicky Dyal of Alapaha, Cheryl (Ricky) Roberson of Milan, Pat (Wayne) Stone of Alapaha and Pam (Mike) Luke of Alapaha; 2 sisters: Vivian Skipper of Tampa, FL and Mary Lyles of Wrightsville; 2 brothers: Chester (Suzan) Veal of Wrightsville and Delma Veal of Eastman; 12 grandchildren; numerous great and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday September 12, 2022 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Springhill cemetery in Irwin County. Visitation is Monday one hour prior to the services.
