Nina Mae Carter, 93, of Waycross, died Saturday December 8, 2018 in Memorial Satilla Health.

She was born March 4, 1925 in Berrien County to the late Owen Carter Griffin and the late Alma Jeanes Griffin. She was a homemaker and worked at Desse's Dress Shop for years in Nashville. She was a member of the Waycross First Baptist Church and was very involved with the Children's Ministries. She was the widow of Lyde Naugle Ruthven who died in 1976 and Frank Carter who died in 2009. She was preceded in death by a sister: Winona Hendley and 3 brothers: Horace, Eston and W.E. Griffin.

She is survived by special friends: Rev. Donnie (Nina) Tuten of Waycross and Jennifer (Chad) Bennett of Waycross; numerous other nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday December 10, 2018 at 11 AM in Flat Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Donnie Tuten officiating.
