Norma Jean (Polly) Harnage, 82, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the Fellowship Home in Nashville.

Polly was born on August 12, 1942, in Nashville, Georgia, to her beloved parents, Oliver and Ruth Alexander, who preceded her in death.

Polly graduated from Berrien High School, where she excelled as a talented clarinetist, earning first chair in the school band. After high school, she moved to Jacksonville, Florida, where she built a life and raised her family.

Throughout her life, Polly pursued several careers, including working as an Orthodontist Assistant, Account Executive, and Executive Administrator. However, the role she cherished most was being a stay-at-home mom, where she poured her heart into creating a loving home for her children.

Polly especially loved celebrating the holidays, decorating her home with care and creativity to make every occasion special. She was a passionate fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and enjoyed dancing, music, and movies. Her infectious spirit and zest for life were evident to everyone who knew her.

Above all, she was an amazing grandmother.

She is survived by her children: Erika Harnage (Donnie) and William (Chip) Harnage Il (Jennifer); three grandchildren: Skylar Speranzi, Collin Speranzi, and Ashlynn Turner; one sister: Barbara Vickers; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Polly's legacy will live on through the memories she created with her family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
