Olan Earnest Connell, 76, of Lake City, FL, died Sunday March 16, 2025, at the North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville, FL.

He was born May 10, 1948, in Irwin County to the late Julian Newton Connell and the late Thelma Howard Connell. He was the owner of Olan's Pest Control in Lake City for over 40 years, was a member of the Watertown Congregational Methodist Church and served in the United States Army. He loved his wife, family and enjoyed playing golf when he was able. He was preceded in death by his wife: Jacquelyn Marie "Jackie" Gaines Connell who died in 2017 and was also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Catherine Rowe and Mamie Giddens; brother: William Connell.

He is survived by his daughter: Lynn Connell (Jackie Curry) of Lake City, FL; sister-in-law: Daisy Connell of Ochlocknee, FL; special friend: Bonnie Page of Lake City, FL; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday March 21, 2025, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Ogburn officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek cemetery. Visitation is Friday one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
