Oliver Kenneth "Ken" Manley, 85, of Tifton, died Saturday April 21, 2012 at his residence.
He was born January 24, 1927 in Ada, Oklahoma to the late Orn Manley and the late Polly Howard. He had been employed for 35 years with Standard Motor Products in Long Island, NY as a zone manager, and was CEO/Founder of CMB Marketing in Lakeland, FL. He was in the Navy, 82nd Airborne Army/ WWII, and of the Baptist faith. He also played minor league baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
He is survived by his wife: Vivian Hancock Manley of Tifton; 2 daughters: Olivia Jean Manley of Greenville, SC, and Jacquelyn Manley DeMoore of Plano, TX; 2 sons: Robert Russell Manley of Maui, HA and Jack Richard Wright of Loganville; 6 grandchildren: Melissa Manley, Joey Manley, Bobby Manley, Jessica Wright, Ryan Wright,and Paige DeMoore; great grandchild: Jaden Manley; sister: Thelma McFall of Bremerton, WA.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 24, 2012 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Ray and Dr. Bill Hancock officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or donations to Hospice of Tiftarea or Alzheimer's Association.
