Owen Bradley Hughes, 87, of Ray City, died Thursday May 1, 2024 at his residence.

He was born August 17, 1936 in Echols County to the late Odette Hughes and Ava Nells Moore Hughes. He was a retired delivery driver with Coca-Cola in Valdosta, loved hunting and fishing. He attended Good Hope Baptist Church and served in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Anna Hughes; son: Owen Bradley Hughes II and a granddaughter: Jessica Terri.

He is survived by his wife: Dot Miller Hughes of Ray City; 3 daughters: Sheila Sulaty of Tellico Plains, TN, Kathy (Greg) Bowling of Lake Park and Sue Brunt of Valdosta; sister: Sandra Gee of Valdosta; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The family has honored his request for cremation and no formal services will be held.
