Owen John "O.J." Jacobs, 89, of Alapaha, died Wednesday May 30, 2018 in the Golden Living Center in Tifton.

He was born March 23, 1929 in Berrien County to the late John Arthur Jacobs and the late Bessie McMillan Jacobs. He was a retired concrete finisher and member of Glory United Methodist Church. He was the widower of Leona Tyson Jacobs who died in 2001 and was also preceded in death by a son: John Arthur Jacobs.

He is survived by his daughter: Debra (Rick) Hawkins of Tifton; son: Robert (Ana) Jacobs of Ocala, FL; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 2, 2018 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Fussell and the Rev. Larry Hauser officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service.
