Peggy Sumner Ellis, 72, of Lenox, died Sunday January 29, 2023 at Emory Midtown in Atlanta.

She was born January 30, 1950 in Berrien County to the late Ernest Claude Sumner and the late Florence Lott Sumner. She was a retired RN with Tift Health Care and also worked at the Berrien County Hospital. She was a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church, loved her garden and flowers. She was preceded in death by a son: Michael Ellis who died in 2016 and a grandchild.

She is survived by her husband: Wayne Ellis of Lenox; daughter: Kelly (Doug) Faulkner of Sparks; 2 sisters: Danita (Dane) Perkins of Nashville and Angie (Phillip) Holbrook of West Berrien; 2 grandchildren: Jessie Grace Faulkner (Hunter) Wilson and Daniel Wayne Faulkner; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday February 2, 2023 at 4 PM in the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary James and Rev. Gerald Mallard officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove cemetery. Visitation is Thursday one hour prior to the service in the church.
