Obituary

Peggy Sue Sanders, 62, of Enigma, died Wednesday December 18, 2024 at her residence.

She was born October 5, 1962 in Colquitt County to the late Winford Lewis Sanders and Opal Colleen Sprouse Bracewell. She was a retired librarian with the St. Simon's Island Library and was a member at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She loved going to the beach, looking at lighthouses and listening to the sound of thunderstorms. She was an inspiration to many and helped so many in their walk to the Lord.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Brandy (Curt) Riggins of Moultrie and Kristin (Derek) Crews of Ray City; mother: Colleen Bracewell of Enigma; sister: Pat Goforth of Adel; brother: Sandy (Daphne) Bracewell of Lenox; 5 grandchildren: Kaylee (William), John Curtis, Laura Beth, Michael and Katarina; 3 great grandchildren: Presleigh, Wrenlee and Weston.

A memorial service will be held Monday December 23, 2024 at 11 AM in the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Bennett officiating.
