Penny Lynn Kelly, 70, of Nashville died Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at her residence.

She was born September 3, 1955, in Lowndes County to the late Robert James and the late Dorothy Inez McDonald James. She worked at Helping-Hands Daycare, B&H Electronics, was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was the widow of David Henry Kelly who died in 2013 and was also preceded in death by a son: Stephen Kelly; sister: Bobbie Ann Coody.

She is survived by 7 daughters: Christina Hatcher of Valdosta, Samantha Lynn Kelly/Keen of Ray City, Saprina (Trey) Evans of Ray City, Amanda Marie Kelly of Nashville, Elizabeth Ann Kelly of Nashville, Wendy Inez (Kenneth, Jr.) Brewer of Nashville and Edwina Janae Kelly of Nashville; 2 sons: Pate (Rachael) Wells of Jacksonville, FL and Dave Kelly, Jr. of Nashville; 14 grandchildren: Jason, Kimberly, Abrianna, Aiden, Damien, Tyler, Lindsey, Amber, Easton, Haley, Wyatt, Regan, Matthew and Alice; 2 great-grandchildren: Kayden and Brayton; 2 sisters: Sandra Barfield of Lakeland and Brenda James of Valdosta; 5 brothers: Danny James of Cairo, Louis James of Cairo, Sammy James of Valdosta, Benny James of Valdosta and Jimmy James of Kissimmee, FL; special friend: Timmie Powell; 2 fur babies: Lulu and Teddy Bear.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
