Gary Phillip Brogdon, 63, of Nashville died Tuesday May 10, 2016 in the Berrien Nursing Center.
He was born December 6, 1952 in Hahira to the late Sherrod Lester Brogdon and Ruby Jeanette Odom Brogdon. He was a retired truck driver with J.B. Hunt and a member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife: Betty Sue Lipford Brogdon of Nashville; 2 step-sons: Eugene (Nicole) Creech of Twin City and Randy Creech of Nashville; mother: Jeanette Brogdon of Nashville; brother: Jerry (Ellen) Brogdon of Alapaha; sister: Brenda Mercer of Winterville; nephew: Zachary Brogdon of Athens; niece: Jocelyn Paxson of Statham; mother-in-law: Esther Booth of Marianna, FL; and 6 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday May 12, 2016 at 2 PM in Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.W. Dukes, III officiating. Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 6-8 PM.
