Obituary

Randall Carlton "Hippie" Sumner, 77, of Nashville, died Monday May 29, 2017 at his residence.

He was born October 23, 1939 in Tift County to the late George Sumner and the late Doris Sumner. He was a retired truck driver of over 20 years with Chaparral Boats and of the Baptist faith. He was the widower of Nancy Carol Brantley Sumner and was also preceded in death by 2 brothers: Wendell Sumner and Ronnie Sumner.

He is survived by his son: Scotty (Wanda) Sumner of Ray City; 3 daughters: Tonya Morey of Nashville, Rhonda (Jackie) Porter of Morven and Robin Sumner of Morven; 7 grandchildren: Ashley, Racheal (Jason), Samantha (Brian), Logan, Tony, Evan and Austin; 3 great grandchildren: Tori, Skylar and Josephine; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 1, 2017 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Boykin officiating. Visitation is Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM.
