Rebecca Dampier, 95, of Nashville died Monday, March 16, 2026, at her residence.

She was born August 18, 1930, in Mellow Valley, AL to the late William Bruce Bailey and the late Laura Sylvania Robinson Bailey. She was a homemaker, a seamstress with Nashville Textile and a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. She loved her family and enjoyed making quilts, gardening and cooking Sunday lunch. She was the widow of William Wallace "Buddy" Dampier who died in 1975 and also preceded in death by a brother: James Howard Bailey; a sister: Betty Jean Lindsey.

She is survived by 3 daughters: Brenda (Henry) Wood of Murfreesboro, TN, Sylvia Pfaff of Hahira and  Melba Taylor of Hahira; 2 sons: David (Paige) Dampier of Nashville and Tim (Tammy) Dampier of Nashville; 10 grandchildren: Cheryl (Matt) Lowery, Pace Wood, Becky Walker, Felicia Young, Tonya Fox, Amy Walsworth, Krystle (Adam) Cole, Brad Dampier, Christa (John) Juneau and Austin (Brittany) Dampier; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held in the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.
