Rhonda Stone, 61, of TyTy, died Saturday December 5, 2020 at the Tift Regional Medical Center.

She was born May 9, 1959 in Titusville, FL to Harvey Eugene Stone and the late Vivian Rowe Stone. She was a retired teacher after 32 year of service with the Tift County Board of Education and had earned a Specialist Degree in reading and leadership. She began her teaching career in Atkinson County but also taught in Worth and Tift Counties. Rhonda also taught at the college level at nearby ABAC and Brewton Parker Campuses. After Rhonda retired, she continued many jobs as a substitute teacher.  Rhonda was an avid Braves fan, an American Patriot and had a love for all animals.  Rhonda had a deep love for her family and friends and lived with much enthusiasm.

She is survived by her father: Gene Stone of Alapaha; brother: Randy (Tammy) Stone of Alapaha; four nephews: Ryan (Heather) Stone of Alapaha, Taylor (Mackie) Stone of Nashville, Wil (Chasity) Wood of Adel and Patrick (Allison) Wood of Asheville, NC.  She adored her great nephews and nieces: Eli, Jackson, Pressleigh, Cassie and Jameson.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday December 12, 2020  at 11 AM at Fletcher Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Hauser officiating.  There will be no formal visitation.
