Richard Michael "Mike" McCranie, 63, of Alapaha died Monday November 29, 2010 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his first wife: Gwendolyn Rowan McCranie and a brother Karl McCranie.

He is survived by his wife: Melanie Graham McCranie of Alapaha; 2 sons: Kyle McCranie of Valdosta and Blake McCranie of Alapaha; 2 step daughters: Heather Day of Broxton and Holly Harkleroad of Broxton; 3 step grandchildren: Adyson, Conley, and Ella; 2 brothers: Bill McCranie of Willacoochee and Slade McCranie of Morven; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday December 2, 2010 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Glory Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.
