Richard Lee Romberger, 59, of Lakeland died Thursday March 8, 2018 in Kindred Hospital in Dallas, TX.

He was born July 31, 1958 in California to the late Roger Romberger and the late Kathryn Mace Romberger.  He was a retired SSGT from the U. S. Air Force as a mechanic having served in Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm with 20 years of service.  He was preceded in death by his wife: Linda Marie Liberty Romberger who died in 2015; and a brother: Michael Romberger.

He is survived by his daughter: Laurie Romberger of Nashville; son: Jason Governatori of Lakeland; and 3 grandchildren: Kathryn Alice Romberger, Hailey Harrell and Daniel Hill.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 13, 2018 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Jason Clanton officiating. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens with full military honors.  Visitation is at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
