James Richard "Ricky" West, 74, of Nashville, died Thursday February 13, 2025, at SGMC Berrien Campus.

He was born October 4, 1950, in Lowndes County to the late James William "Dick" West and the late Carolyn Kitchen West. He was the owner of West Plumbing and Electrical for 52 years and a member of the Nashville Methodist Church. He loved his family, enjoyed fishing, car racing and always willing to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his other half: Joyce Lewis of Nashville; son: Jamie (Penni) West of Nashville; 2 sisters: Libby Dean of Alapaha and Debbie Harris of Enigma; brother: Randy West of Alapaha; 6 grandchildren: Dalton (Morgan) West of Naylor, Conner West of Nashville, Cain West of Nashville, Jackson Kimble of Watkinsville, Emily Kimble of Watkinsville and Kylen McClellan of Valdosta; 3 great grandchildren: Madelyn West, Kyndley McClellan and Abrey McClellan; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday February 17, 2025, at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Luke officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 12 PM to 2 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Nashville VFW Post 5978.
