Riley Harper, 55, of Nashville, died Tuesday July 24, 2012 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 1, 1956 in Irwin County to the late Jesse Harper and the late Wilma Gunter. He was a mechanic. He was also preceded in death by a son: Chris Mathis and a brother: Ben Harper.
He is survived by his wife: Tracy Lynn Johnson Harper of Ray City; daughter: Regina Russell of Galax, VA; step son: Stanley Mintz of Nashville; 4 sisters: Mary Alice (Elbert) Starling of Nashville, Dorothy McClellan of Ray City, Ouida Ann (Wayne) Chaney of Alapaha, and Emma Jean Eldridge of Sparks; 3 brothers: Johnny Harper of Nashville, Jesse W. Harper of Nashville, and Vinson (Donna) Harper of Nashville; 6 grandchildren: Brookelyn, Landon, Emily, Bresdon, Freddie, and Suade.
Funeral services will be held Friday July 27, 2012 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Mr. Tommy Spikes officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Thursday from 7 to 9 PM.
