Robert Mose "R.M." Luke, 88, of Nashville, died Thursday July 25, 2024 at his residence.

He was born February 16, 1936 in Irwin County to the late William Buford Luke and the late Ollie Harper Luke. He was a retired maintenance supervisor with McGill Properties and retired from Nashville Fire Department with 25 years of service. He loved nature, was an avid fisherman and gardener. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Lucy Tucker, Marjorie Griffin and Betty Jo Perrine; 5 brothers: Buck, Cleatice, Sam, W.D. and Melvin Luke; son-in-law: Earnest Stone.

He is survived by his wife: Shirley Luke of Nashville; 2 daughters: Gina (Jerry) Lipsey of Nashville and Cheryl Stone (Dennis Kent) of Nashville; son: Wayne (Connie) Luke of Nashville; 2 sisters: Evelyn Griffin of Nashville and Brenda Henderson of Ambrose; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday July 29, 2024 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Bryan Luke and Rev. Stan Stalvey officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
