Robert Paul "Bob" Jolley, Jr., 67, of Nashville passed away April 11, 2015 in Savannah, GA after a brief illness.
He was born in Sandersville, GA September 14, 1947. Bob attended Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Civil Engineering degree. His professional career included city engineer in Moultrie, GA, facility director for Archibold Hospital in Thomasville, GA and with the State of Florida. He also owned and managed the Jolley Surveying and Engineering Company. He was a member of Community United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his father: Paul Jolley; step father: Woodrow Hancock, Sr.; brother: Charles Jolley; step brother: Woodrow Hancock, Jr.; and grandparents: Kissam and Eula Mae DeVane and Seward and Ethel Jolley.
He is survived by his mother: Betty DeVane Hancock of Nashville; his daughters: Cathy (David) Durland of Albany, GA and Jennifer Jolley of Savannah; his son: Robert DeVane "Bo" Jolley of Savannah, GA; granddaughters: Caroline and Kate Durland of Albany, GA. He is also survived by other loved ones including Peggy Jolley, Steve Marlay, Millie Edwards, Harry and Debbie Hancock, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 15, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
