Robert Jason Guess, 73, of Tifton, died Wednesday March 15, 2023 at his residence.

He was born March 29, 1949 in Ocilla, GA to the late Henry Allen Guess and the late Mary Jane Tucker Guess. He was a retired gas superintendent with the City of Tifton for over 30 years. He was a welder, farmer, avid outdoorsman; most of all, loved being a Grandpa. He would help anyone at any time, a member of Believer's Baptist Church and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Louise Singletary and Ouida Chadwick; brother: Edward Guess.

He is survived by his wife: Sue Guess of Tifton; daughter: Lisa Guess (Larry) Singletary of Tifton; son: Jeff (Leah Edwards) Guess of Valdosta; 3 brothers: Emory Guess of Bushnell, FL, Joe Guess of Adel and Harold Guess of Starke, FL; 5 grandchildren: Karah Collins Willis, Hunter Chance Collins, Jackson Browning Guess, Holly Singletary and Caden Edwards; 4 great grandchildren: Chance Willis, Colton Willis, Desmond Collins and Aubrey Singletary; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Saturday March 18, 2023 at 2 PM in the Mt. Paron cemetery with the Rev. Conway Harris officiating. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service in the cemetery.
