Obituary

Robert Wayne Hoover, 76, of Nashville, died Monday April 6, 2020 at his residence in Seminole, FL.

He was born March 6, 1944 in Irvine, KY to the late Robert P. Hoover and the late Bertha Gray Hoover. He was a retired  Master Sergeant United States Air Force with 22 years of service. He also was a retired HVAC technician with the Berrien County Board of Education and worked for Prestolite in Tifton. He was of the Baptist faith,  served in Vietnam, member of the Nashville Post VFW and a member of the Disabled  American Veterans. He was preceded in death by a sister: Armitta Hoover.

He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Hudson Hoover of  Nashville ; 2 daughters: Danitta (Shannon) Downey of  Seminole, FL and Pamela (Seab) Temples of Valdosta; step daughter: April Wetherington of Tifton; sister: Loretta Walters of Ohio; 4 grandchildren: Ryan (Elizabeth) Downey of Largo, FL, Rileigh Downey of Largo, FL, Zach Temples of Valdosta and Tyler Temples of Valdosta; step granddaughter: Amanda Coody of Valdosta;  2 step grandsons: Dakota Flanders of Tifton and Brandon Flanders of Nashville; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

The family will have a private graveside funeral service on Saturday April 11, 2020 in the Nashville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Bennett officiating.
