Robert Gene Monk, 64, of Nashville, died Saturday December 23, 2017 at his residence.
He was born September 30, 1953 in Valdosta to the late William Lewis Monk and the late Lech Irene Churchill Monk. He was a retired truck driver with Armielle Truck Lines and Chaparral Boats. He was a member of the Bridge Church, a veteran of the United States Army, a Mason in Palm Bay Lodge #397 Palm Bay, FL. and was also a Shriner. He was a great husband and father. We love him and will miss him. He was preceded in death by a sister: Marie Purvine.
He is survived by his wife: Connie Cheek Monk of Nashville; 5 daughters: Robin Monk of Hahira, Tracy (Anthony Harvey) Ceasar of Nashville, Chasity Monk of Nashville, Tiffany Monk of Valdosta and Danielle Monk of Nashville; 2 sons: David Moore of Port St. Lucie, FL and Neil (Brandy) Moore of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 brothers: Danny (Pat) Monk of Palm Bay, FL and Roy (Susan) Monk of Palm Bay, FL; sister: Minnie (Robert) Simpson of Alapaha; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will honor his request for cremation and no formal service will be held.
