Obituary

Rodger William Swann, 78, of Nashville, died Wednesday April 10, 2019 in the South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born February 21, 1941 in Baker County to the late William Rufus Swann and the late Katie Belle Wilson. He was a retired rural mail carrier with the US Postal Service for over 20 years and a member of the Nashville First Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran, served in Vietnam and was a member of the Nashville Post V.F.W. He was preceded in death by a sister: Wanda Kay Swann.

He is survived by his wife: Alice Rebecca Merritt Swann of Nashville; daughter: Alison Swann of Nashville; 2 granddaughters: Sarah Testerman and Maggie Testerman both of Nashville; 4 sisters: Billie Sue Fitzgerald of Newton, Betty Cook of Albany, Ann Holman of Blakely and Judy Eason of Leesburg; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 13, 2019 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service.
