Rodney Wilson Nix, 65, of Nashville died Friday March 11, 2011 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 20, 1965 in Glynn County to the late Marvin "Coot" Nix and the late Faye Ree Glover. He was the owner of the Magnolia House of Furniture. He was a member of the Hope Baptist Church. He graduated from Berrien High School, attended Valdosta State College, and was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth "Liz" Parrish Nix of Nashville; 2 sons: Rodney (Deree) Nix and Michael (Kris) Nix all of Nashville; 3 grandchildren: Callie, Sam and Coner; brother: Wayne (Lisa) Nix of Nashville.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 14, 2011 at 2 PM in the Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike McPherson and Mr. David Simons officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Sunday 7 to 9 PM. Memorials are requested to Hope Baptist Church.
