Roger Landers Burdette, Sr., age 69 of Nashville, died Monday September 6, 2010 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Cook Burdette of Nashville; daughter, Mitzi Sumner of Seymour, Tn; 2 sons, Roger L. Burdette, Jr. of Guyton and Harris Burdette of Nashville; sister, Loretta Bennett of Hahira; 2 brothers, Dale Sumner of Nashville and Gerald Sumner of Brookfield; 9 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Burdette.

Funeral services will be held Thursday September 9 at 2:00 pm in the Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Mike McPherson, Rev. Willie Heath, Rev. Ray Calvin and Rev. Larry Daughtry officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is Wednesday 7-9 pm at the funeral home.
