Dr. Ronald Frank "Ron" Shehane, 77, of Nashville, GA, died Monday December 12, 2022 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 22, 1945 in Columbus, GA to the late George Frank Shehane and the late Mildred Foster Shehane. He retired as the Director of Logistics at Ft. Benning, GA after 30 years of service. He was also a computer science professor at Troy University for 40 years and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints/ Nashville Ward. He was a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology and a PHD graduate of NOVA Southeastern University. He was preceded in death by a grandson: Johnson Wade Yarbrough, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Pamela Shehane of Nashville; 3 daughters: Susan Slade of Columbus, Laura (Dr. Andy) Solomon of Nashville and Jennifer Shehane (Lu Aung) of Atlanta; 3 sons: Scott (Cindy) Shehane of Denver, CO, Steve (SAM) Shehane of Columbus and Jason (Emily) Shehane of Atlanta; sister: Sheila Bartholow of Columbus; 20 grandchildren and a great grandson; niece: Allison (Chris) Hope; nephew: Lee (Hillary) Hudson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 17, 2022 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service.
