Ronnie Carl Guthrie, 76, of Nashville, died Saturday August 5, 2023 at the Harborview Satilla Center in Waycross.

He was born December 23, 1946 in Berrien County to the late Samuel Vernon Guthrie and the late Lucille Richardson Guthrie. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as a machine operator and had 28 years of service. He attended Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church, loved hunting and fishing. He served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran.

He is survived by his wife: Brenda Sapp Guthrie of Nashville; son: Ronnie Carl "Ron" (Sharla) Guthrie, Jr of Nashville; 3 grandsons: Forrest Guthrie, Blake Guthrie and Joey Whittington; 3 granddaughters: Meghan (Brandon) Raffield, Aly (Jarrett) Gipson and Cassie (Jamey) Purvis; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

His family will honor his request for cremation and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
