Obituary

Roy Donald "Don" Whaley, Jr., 79, of Nashville died Sunday August 9, 2020.

He was born March 23, 1941 in Berrien County to the late Roy Donald WHaley and the late Nellie Mae Chism Whaley.  He retired after 35 years with the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington D. C. where he worked at the U. S. Capitol, worked details with the Secret Service, and served as a clerk with the FBI.  Upon returning home, he was employed with the Berrien County Sheriff Office and the Nashville Police Department.  He was preceded in death by a sister: Marsha Harden.

He is survived by his wife: Evelyn Darlene Kilpatrick Whaley of Nashville; two daughters: Kim (Allen) Tinsley of Valdosta and Angie (Terry) Hall of Moultrie; two sons: Travis Hall of Enigma and David (Caroline) Hall of Nashville; seven grandchildren: Carmen Mosley, Cody Henderson, Ryan Hall, Cheyenne Hall, Courtney Purvis, Hunter Hall and Karson (Ryan) Warren; seven great grandchildren: Brantley, Hazel, Luke, Addison, Braydon, Dawson and Austyn Rose; nieces: Robin (Gary) Parks.

The family will honor his request for cremation.  The family will receive friends at his house on Saturday August 15, 2020 from 2-4 PM.
