Obituary

Roy Clifford Hogan, 82, of Alapaha, passed away early Friday morning in the Berrien Oaks.

He was born March 19, 1943, in Berrien County to the late James Franklin "Jim" Hogan and the late Minnie Lott Hogan. He grew up in a farmer's lifestyle, went on to graduate from Southern Technical College and later served as an instructor. He spent decades as a business owner in the land surveying profession and later returned full time to the family farm working his beloved pecan orchards until recent days. He was an Army veteran and member of Springhill Primitive Baptist Church.

He is remembered as a quiet and humble man, stern in his ways. Determined in his work and faithful to God. His family thanks all those who have been a part of his life and helped through these last months.

He is survived by his daughter: Leasa Hogan of Alapaha; son: John (Jodi) Hogan of Nashville; 2 sisters: Nell Thompson of Nashville and Mary Ann (Zane) Wright of Alapaha; brother: Don (Libby) Hogan of St. Simons Island; 3 grandchildren: Eliesa Hogan, Eric Powell and Fischer Hogan; great grandson: Wyatt Hogan.

His family will honor request for cremation. A visitation will be held Monday September 22, 2025, from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home. A memorial service will be held Tuesday September 23, 2025 at 2 PM in Springhill Primitive Baptist Church.
