Ruby Carter Harrod, 75, of Ray City, died Saturday February 26, 2022 at SGMC.

She was born October 22, 1946 in Lowndes County to the late Alfred Carter and the late Eva Mathis Carter. She was a homemaker and retired from Nashville Textile. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Rob Carter and Frank Carter.

She is survived by her husband: Jimmy Harrod of Ray City; daughter: Tonya (Jason) Kelley of Adel; 2 sons: Bret Odum of Ray City and Kevin (Tonia) Harrod of Ray City; 2 brothers: Ed (Anne) Carter of Avon Park, Fl and Ken (Evelyn) Carter of Nashville; 6 grandchildren: Joshua Kelley, Mackenzie Kelley, Erica Harrod, Maggie Kelley, Austin Harrod and Emma Odum; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 2, 2022 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Beaver Dam cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
