Obituary

Ruby Louise Lane, 67, of Moultrie formerly of Nashville died Sunday March 25, 2012 at her residence.

She was born November 24, 1944 in Berrien County to the late Harry Hiers and the late Lillian Tucker. She was a homemaker and had been employed with Green Oaks in Moultrie as a caregiver. She was a member of the Moultrie Church of God. She was the widow of Bennie Austin Lane who died in 1999 and was also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Dorothy Gray and Mildred Castleberry.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Connie (Mark) Brown of Moultrie and Angela (Jeff) Gunn of Valdosta; son: Daniel Lane of Moultrie; 2 sisters: Liz Taylor and Martha Skinner both of Nashville; 2 brothers: Harvey Hiers and Ronnie Hiers both of Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Joshua Carroll, Brittney Carroll, Courtney (Zachary) Hancock, and Austin Lane; 2 step grandchildren: Brittany and Clinton Brown; 2 great grandchildren: Kenedi Carroll and Dalton Scott Hancock.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 28, 2012 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Smith and the Rev. John Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in the Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
