Ruth Virginia Alexander, 95, of Nashville, died Sunday August 26, 2012 at the Southlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Jacksonville, FL.
She was born November 2, 1916 in Berrien County to the late Leon Lacy Parrish and the late Cora Belle Allen. She was a homemaker and was associated for many years with the former Farmers Livestock Auction Company. She was of the Primitive Baptist faith, had attended Long Bridge Primitive Baptist Church and attended Flat Creek Church. She was the widow of James Oliver Alexander who died in 1997 and was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Wilbur Vickers.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Barbara Vickers of Jacksonville, FL and Polly Harnage of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren: Scott, Erika, and Chip: 2 great grandchildren: Skyler and Collin.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 29, 2012 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
