MRS. Ruth Laverne Dodd Mauldin, 78, of Saddle Club Road, Summerville, Georgia passed away Monday in a Rome hospice center.
She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on February 16, 1938, a daughter of the late Jessie Hamilton Dodd and Rosie Lee Rutledge Dodd. She was a retired nurse and was preceded in death by sons the late Henry Willis Mauldin and Todd Mauldin; sisters, the late Francis Brogdon and Maxine Eastmead; brother, the late Luther Dodd; and mother-in-law, the late Bessie Musgrove.
Surviving are daughter, Teena Snell of Nashville, GA.; sons, James Edward Mauldin and Gregory Mauldin both of Nashville, GA. and Felton Mauldin of Summerville; sisters, Earlene Moore of Subligna and Laura Lee of Dublin; seven Grandchildren, fifteen Great Grandchildren; several Nieces and Nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. in Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Williams officiating. Visitation will be held 12 -1 P.M. Wednesday at Lovein Funeral Home in Nashville.
