Ruth Carolyn Griffin, 86, of Alapaha, died Monday May 4, 2020 at her residence.

She was born August 19, 1933 in Berrien County to the late Lee Otis Hall and the late Maedell Higgs Hall. She was a homemaker and a member of New Griffin Baptist Church. She was the widow of Thurston Griffin who died in 1992 and was also preceded in death by 2 sisters: Evelyne Evans and Juanita Watson; 2 brothers: Leroy Hall and Bill Hall.

She is survived by her son: Wayne (Emily Gaskins) Griffin of Alapaha; grandson: Jamie (Tracy) Griffin of Alapaha; great granddaughter: Marlee Griffin of Alapaha; sister: Irma (Rowland) Folsom of Adel; 2 brothers: Earl (Evelyn) Hall of Nashville and Ernest (Ouida) Hall of Lakeland; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday May 7, 2020 in the Brogdon Cemetery with the Rev. Sim Youngblood officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to New Griffin Baptist Church.
