Ruth Taylor Harris, 76, of West Berrien died Thursday August 11, 2016 in Clinch Health Care.
She was born July 7, 1940 in Berrien Co. to the late Martin Taylor and the late Maliscia Holloway Taylor. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Revival Center in Starke, FL. She is the widow of Ronald Eugene "Gene" Harris who died in 1977. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Gertrude Barber; 4 brothers: James Taylor, Reuben Taylor, Riley Taylor and Rancil Taylor.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Rita (Larry) Carter of Starke, FL, Cynthia (Larry) Gloster of Lakeland and Debreah Fageol of Jacksonville, FL; son: Tony Harris (Rhonda Brooks) of Bath, NC; 5 sisters: Trudy McNabb, Grace Friar, Josephine Joyce, Geraldine Champa and Rudine Schmittou all of West Berrien 14 grandchildren , 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Monday August 15, 2016 at 11 AM in the Vickers Church with the Rev. Ronnie Lawson, Rev. Larry Carter and Rev. Randall Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Vickers Cemetery. Visitation is Saturday 6-8.
